LORE

Merriam-Webster defines lore as “traditional knowledge or belief about a particular subject, usually passed from person to person by word of mouth.”

Over the past several years, I’ve noticed lore having a moment in branding. More companies seem to be incorporating the word into their names and messaging and reference lore when speaking about brand worlds. So naturally I started to wonder why.
